IMG_20190309_105455.jpg

The kob hybrid project (KHP) forms part of a collaborative effort between the University of Namibia (UNAM) and Rhodes University. The project aims to investigate the impacts of ocean warming and a recent hybridisation event on two kob species; Argyrosomus inodorusand A. coronusoff the Namibian coast. This study will be (1) quantifying the physiological performance and thermal optima of the two kob species and their hybrids and (2) assessing the life history of the two kob species and their hybrids.
