COASTAL FISHERIES AND CLIMATE CHANGE
The Coastal Fisheries and Climate Change research platform is funded by a Sandisa Imbewu Rhodes University Grant and a African Ceolocanth Ecosystem Programme (ACEP) grant. We primarily do eco-physiological lab based research on important recreational and commercial linefish species to assess their resilience to multiple climate and exploitation stressors. Our work is applied and ultimately used to optimize management strategies. We collaborate with multiple overseas based universities and the South African Institute of Aquatic Biodiversities new Aquatic Eco-Physiological Research Platform
