Born and raised on a farm in Zimbabwe I was quick to develop a passion for the natural environment. Arriving at Rhodes University in 2013 to study a BSc, I began to realize the state of local and global fisheries and the negative influence our exponentially growing population is having on them. This is what has driven me to pursue a career as a fisheries scientist. I’m passionate about providing research that will allow for the sustainable use of our oceans whilst simultaneously allowing people to benefit from marine resources.
