Samkele Ngcefa

I am an adventurous, curious, and ambitious individual with a deep connection to nature especially the sea and all its creatures, big and small. My greatest passion lies with fish and their weird and wonderful life history strategies. I am particularly fascinated by how global change impacts fish and their populations, which has inspired my interests the ecophysiological aspects of ichthyology and fisheries science. Beyond research, I am a light hearted person who thrives in diverse and collaborative environments, like the incredible team at the SAFER lab. I believe our diversity is one of our greatest strengths, fostering innovation and fresh perspectives
