Christopher S Bova
When policies fail, more often than not, people are the problem. As an avid problem solver, Chris took on the challenge of solving peopleby understanding their behaviours, motivations, and decisions. With an academic background in applied resource economics, he applies a quantitative, science-for-policy lens to unpack the human dimensions of fisheries. His work spans economic valuation, trade-off and decision analysis, and psycho-social approaches to examine the users, values, and governance of fisheries. By bridging ecological, economic, and social considerations, Chris aims to inform practical, equitable, and sustainable fisheries policy and management in a rapidly changing world.
