I am a well-rounded researcher working on understanding how to better manage inshore marine fish and elasmobranch populations in the face of increasing fishing pressure and climate change. In terms of honorary positions, I am a IUCN SSG Sparid, Grunt and Snapper member, Chairman of the South Africa Marine Linefish Research Group, a member of the ICES working group on recreational fisheries surveys and a member of the 11th World Recreational Fisheries Confernce scientific commitee.
