SAFER LAB MEMBER
Bio
As is the case with most scientists, my interest in science began from a young age, taking every opportunity to be surrounded by nature. By my matric year I was of sure of what I wanted to study and I registered for a Bsc (Biological sciences) at the Nelson Mandela University. Rock and surf angling is a major passion and hobby of mine, and as a result, the recreational fishery, stock assessments and fish conservation are focus areas of my research. I would like my research to assist in linking the views of scientists and fisherman and to shape the recreational fishery in a well-managed and sustainable manner.
Research interests
