Throughout my life I have always been driven towards bodies of water by a curiosity for what lies beneath the surface. This manifested itself into a passion for fishing and the outdoors which ultimately pushed me towards a career in Ichthyology. My current research focus revolves around developing a framework, through the combination of the biological and social sciences, to adequately evaluate and manage the understudied and inimitable recreational fisheries of the developing world and Africa in particular.
